Chengdu B&M Launched the First Badminton Match

The sky is clear and the cherry blossoms are in bloom. The first "Light Feather and Passion" badminton tournament was successfully held from 11th to 16th March at Chengdu B&M base. This activity aims to promote communication, and strengthen friendship among employees, which not only enhances the enthusiasm for physical exercise, but also motivates all the participating employees to be positive and united in the spirit of sportsmanship.

The activity was open to all departments of Chengdu base, and more than 50 participants applied for. There were four events, including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles. Badminton players from all departments fought for the victory and honour, and showed the charm of badminton to the fullest with their exquisite skills. During the game, the players quickly entered the game state, serving, jumping, smashing, the arena was crowded and the atmosphere was warm.

 New Materials Industry Group Korea Representative Office carried out "Spring Festival Warmth Delivery and Care for the Elderly" public welfare activities in Seoul, Korea.

On 25th March, the Korea Representative Office of Huayou Cobalt New Material Industry Group, together with the Seoul City Council Member Kim Yong-ho and the President of the World Public Welfare Alliance Hong Jinyu, went to the Yongsan Elderly Comprehensive Welfare Hall in Seoul, Korea, to carry out the public welfare activity of "Sending warmth to the elderly in the spring, caring for the elderly", and to send warmth and care for the elders.

At the time of spring blossoming, Huayou chose to join hands with Seoul City Council and the World Public Welfare Union to extend the hand of care to the widows and orphans, wishing that the respectable old people can be healthy and happy. On behalf of the company, Chu Bin, General Manager of the Korea Representative Office of New Material Industry Group, officially donated the supplies to the Seoul Municipal Yongsan Elderly Comprehensive Welfare Hall, including food, medicine, health care products and other daily necessities of the elderly.

The activity of "Spring Warmth, Caring for the Elderly" not only inherits the traditional Chinese virtue of respecting and helping the elderly, but also is a practical action of Huayou Cobalt Industry to fulfil its social responsibility. Huayou practices the investment philosophy of "wherever we invest, we must contribute to the local economy and society", and is committed to global social welfare undertakings, actively participating in infrastructure construction, donating money to schools, etc., with a cumulative total of 10 million yuan.

New materials Guangxi base to carry out tree planting activity

Spring has returned to the earth and everything is reviving. The Group took the initiative to designate March as greening month of Huayou. In order to encourage everyone to contribute to the construction of green Huayou, the New Material base in Guangxi carried out the activity of planting green on 20 March.

By calling on employees to actively participate in planting activities, record the energy-saving, low-carbon, environmental protection behaviours, moving moments of pictures and videos. At the activity site, Little Energy Defender provided employees with green and low-carbon knowledge, and participants took the low-carbon challenge and shared energy-saving tips. Through the interesting and intense questions, everyone further understood the significance of energy saving, emission reduction and green living, and put them into practice in their future lives.

What we planted is not only plants, but also the concept of green development. Green has always been the main tone of Huayou, and the new quality productivity is green productivity. Huafei Safety and Environment Fun Games Successfully Held

In order to improve the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the team, and to stimulate the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the staff, on 25th March, Huafei Indonesia organised a fun sports meeting with the theme of "Safety and Environment". The site was crowded with people who participated in the activities such as "Eating Melon and Putting Out Fire", "Tug of War", "3V3 Basketball Match" and so on.

In the activity of "eating melon fire", the athletes not only have to rush to the "fire point" in the fastest speed to put out the fire correctly, but also run back to the starting point and finish a piece of watermelon in the fastest speed.

"This time, it was a friendly competition between China and India. Each side took ten people as a group and drew closer to each other through tug-of-war. After a minute of stalemate, the Chinese team finally won the victory. After the game, both sides greeted each other and shared the honor with each other, witnessing the friendship across the strait!

This fun game not only let the employees increase their knowledge and skills of safety and environmental protection, but also laid a solid foundation for the friendship between Chinese and Indonesian employees!

KAMATETE Community Water Supply Project Aided by CDM Company Commenced Construction

Recently, the opening ceremony of KAMATETE community water supply project built by CDM Company was held, in which representatives of the governor, the minister of mining, the mayor of ANNEXE, the mayor of KAMATETE district, the chief of KAMATETE branch of the Congolese National Police, the members of the local development committee of KAMATETE, the representatives of the project partners and the local media participated in the ceremony.

Clean water is a precious resource in many parts of Lubumbashi city. By connecting to the existing pipeline of the National Water Company (NWC), the project will lay 3 kilometres of new pipeline connections to the KAMATETE community and build 10 new communal taps.The KAMATETE community will also set up a committee to manage the construction of the project, which will be handed over to the NWC when the project becomes operational. Years of water shortages and water safety issues have been resolved and the community will have a continuous and reliable water supply.

Sultan, Minister of ESG and Sustainable Development, said that the water supply project is the first civil engineering project in the KAMATETE community under the company's Social Responsibility Statement, and that the project is of great significance in improving the community's water supply and the quality of life of the residents, as well as providing them with a more convenient and safer drinking water source.
